Adam Elover, CFA®, CPWA®

Adam serves as Chief Investment Officer (“CIO”) of Cornerstone Wealth Partners and is a Partner and CIO at McLaughlin Private Wealth. In 2025, he began serving as CIO for Cornerstone Wealth Partners, where he plays a pivotal role in developing the investment strategies offered to the firm’s clients, as well as overseeing the management of assets under management, including sophisticated portfolios with complex planning and investment needs. With more than 23 years of experience as a Wall Street veteran, Adam brings deep technical expertise, advisory insight, and seasoned investment leadership to the firm. 

Prior to Cornerstone Wealth Partners, Adam spent 18 years in key leadership roles at City National Rochdale, a New York-based investment management firm. Most recently, he served as Director and Senior Portfolio Manager, where he partnered with financial advisors to deliver customized portfolio management solutions for high- and ultra-high-net-worth clients, overseeing approximately $4 billion in assets. For more than a decade, he has worked closely with many Cornerstone Wealth Partners clients, playing an instrumental role in managing their portfolios and helping enhance long-term value. 

Adam’s investment approach combines personalized service with deep market insight. He focuses on enhancing after-tax portfolio returns while prioritizing capital preservation through disciplined risk management and tax-efficient investment strategies. 

Adam holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Baltimore and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. He is a CFA charterholder, has earned the CPWA designation, and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses with LPL Financial. He remains committed to continuing education and professional development and has been actively involved with the CFA Institute and the New York Society of Security Analysts (“NYSSA”). 

Outside of work, Adam enjoys staying active and spending time with his wife, Alexis, and their two children, Grayson and Piper. He also enjoys coaching Little League and serving as a board member of the Armonk Baseball League in Westchester County, New York.
